Frequently asked questions.

Why are you building this garden?

Exclusively for my own amusement. I enjoy the process of research, planning, and building. No, I have no plans for commercialization or tourism. This is strictly a private endeavor.

Can I come and visit?

There are no specific plans to make the property available for outside visitors. Mostly because it’s dangerous and full of rattlesnakes. If you happen to see me I guess you could wave me down.

Please don’t invite yourself onto the property. After the arson and theft, well, now we shoot first.

Is this legal?

Well, y’all, this is Texas and if no one tells you can’t, then you can. Strictly speaking, none of the structures are designed to be habitable (there is no electricity, plumbing, etc) so they are just fake garden decorations called “follys”.

Can I rent out a section for a party venue or a film location?

No. At least not now. I don’t really want to deal with the hassle and there are no proper facilities for any kind of gathering. If you want to do an outdoor production of “Hair” with full nudity, we can talk.

When will it be done?

There is no plan to finish. There are always projects that have not yet been started. I also don’t work chronologically.

What do your neighbors think?

They are glad I am not producing meth or building apartments. I suspect they would prefer I wasn’t messing with a backhoe all day. I am probably a source of great amusement, but they would definitely prefer if my Longhorns would stop escaping onto the roads.
